Spread the love

Now what? I was concerned about how the bills were going to get paid and whether we’d be able to make until I get to go back to driving in the fall, (which is still up in the air also). To be honest, I’ve truly been trying to come up with a way to make money from home for a few years now. I’ve never come up with anything that panned out, so I gave up. Well, this pandemic has possibly worked things out for me. The hubby and I have been brainstorming ways to have our own business for a while, so that he’ll be able to retire before we are too old to enjoy life! Then I found myself with all this extra time at home and I started watching these crafting videos and getting quite a bit of inspiration. I was also listening to ladies at church talk about the fact that they couldn’t find modest apparel for their daughters to wear in the stores. So, I started brainstorming and thinking that I could accomplish several things. I could sew modest apparel for these girls at church and I could sell them to others as well. After watching several crafting videos and seeing how these ladies repurposed things, I crafted a few things myself. After I had done this, my oldest daughter said, “Mom, you could open your own Etsy shop and sell to the public.” So, that is exactly what I did.  I have an Etsy shop https://bnbcreationdesigns.etsy.com and a Shopify shop also.  https://b-b-creations-designs.myshopify.com

From years of driving the school bus, lots of observation, and conversations with my daughters’ friends, I concluded that our youth have a lack of proper education in the basic life situations. Our school system has failed our children in the very basic areas of life and parents haven’t made up the difference either. We have high school students that don’t know how to do the simple things, like keep up with their money, sew on a button, cook mac ‘n cheese, etc. I knew that they needed to have a way of learning these things and I also felt qualified to help them out. I was discussing these things with my best friend, Stacey, one day and told her that it would be a good idea to start making videos and offering classes for anyone who find themselves lacking this knowledge or just need a refresher course. During these conversations with her, I came up with the idea that I could offer these type of videos and classes myself with a little help from her and my family. Stacey suggested that I start a WordPress account and start blogging and vlogging about these topics. I didn’t know anything about this so I did my homework and started messing around with it and got coaching from Stacey and Tah’Dah, my WordPress account.  From the WordPress account I transformed it into this website enhanced with a Shop and a wider variety of offerings.

I took a leap of faith and started this business venture in my life. With that being said, I will also be keeping my focus on God and will offer devotionals and possibly Bible studies on here as well. This world we live in right now is so crazy and so far from God that I think everyone needs to be reminded about Him and what is ultimately coming!! The topics may get sensitive, but I will always keep His Word at the forefront of my discussions and if I don’t have an answer to the topic, I will seek more godly counsel than me. I hope my blog will inspired some of you and that you will want to follow along on my journey. I believe that will be all for right now, so I hope everyone will have a blessed day.

Love in Christ,
